I'm halfway through his autobiography at the moment.
It is excellent, but surprisingly DARK in places.
The only one of 4 siblings who was sent to boarding school cos his dad didn't like him for some reason, constantly beaten by noncy teachers, depression, suicide attempts etc etc.
Some funny bits as well.
One of the best autobiographies I've read.
A very interesting, intelligent bloke who has now reached "national treasure" status.

I really enjoyed the series he did for itv where he travelled up and down the country visiting places, exploring local crafts and traditions + personally cooking a local dish. it's a very relaxing watch (eleven episodes on this link)........
